the poet in me

I had many reasons for naming our baby girl "Hope", but didn't think of this poem by Emily Dickinson until just today. Loving the first stanza right now:

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all

'because i could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for meeeeeee....'

'a bird came down the walk one day, he did not know i saaaaaaw...'
