I had many reasons for naming our baby girl "Hope", but didn't think of this poem by Emily Dickinson until just today. Loving the first stanza right now:
Hope is the thing with feathers
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all

did you know you can sing emily dickinson to the tune of 'yellow rose of texas'?
try it out.
'because i could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for meeeeeee....'
'a bird came down the walk one day, he did not know i saaaaaaw...'
kinda ruins the effect, but fun nonetheless
i have that poem on my blog...on the side. so sweet...precious Hope.
love you
ash
