Baby Thoughts

I officially have baby-on-the-brain.

Heading into the last stages of pregnancy, I feel this child taking over my body in every way. At my doctor visit today, she said the baby is measuring a little bigger than average - I don't know how big - but I'm willing to bet the baby will be born before March 31st.

Jonathan was born in 2005, which seems like an eternity ago. My Texas baby.

It's a bit of a blur, but I remember his crib in our bedroom (it was a monster of a bedroom) his sleepy first few days, and his newborn dark hair, which you can see turned light after a couple of months.

Apparently, my hair was turning colors, too...

I like how you can see Gregory's pistol in his holster next to me on the couch in that picture. Always good to have a quick-draw McGraw by your side. And, of course, the old stand-by pacifiers that my kids all seemed to love.

If the ultrasound technician was a trained professional and not some newbie, it does appear we are having a girl. Aaron still wants me to keep all the tags on the clothes, just in case.

But you can bet I'm preparing for PINK, honey.

awww, new baby, new baby! yay, i am so excited for you:) I felt the same way when i had elise, everyone telling a first time mom to be that I was carrying "much too low" to be having a boy (you know, all those people who just KNOW even though they aren't a dr...) so i was dreaming that it was a boy, and so I had them check everytime I had an ultrasound, just to be double sure. and I still asked when she came out if she was a girl. I was so afraid I would have a boy and all pink, and I would be a bad mom for having no boy stuff for him. But my fears were gone when my little girl was put in my arms...

My vision of "her" is a strawberry blonde, light blue eyes, a little on the firey side, and absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see her...at least her pictures...we will be praying for her safe delivery!

So... have you changed the widget baby to match your little one's growth? Can't wait to meet the little one and see you all in your glory with a tiny babe! That will be a first for me as I've only seen the others in pictures that little! Ryan's hoping it's a girl, too :)!

I just cannot wait to meet your new little one! My mom and I have already been shopping for her!

How old was Jonny in the second picture? 6 mos? Maybe I'm way off, but he reminds me of Mathias there...(although he's only 5 mos. at the moment.)

You're still going to let me know when you paint the nursery, right?

I can't believe it's almost that time for you!! I know of three babies due in March. My sister Bethany's little boy, Nikki's little boy and your little girl. For your sake, I'll pray that she comes early, but not too early. We want her to be healthy :D

Hi...I miss you. And yes, I read this from time to time to catch up on you even though I'm a lousy pen pal. The pistol in the picture had me in stiches (well, your commentary about it did :). This girl's gonna be one tough chica. Love it...like her mama.
