I try to choose a verse every year that will be my theme for the year - the one I go back to and refer to throughout all the circumstances of the year. And this one is definitely it. This is what I want to be. Help me, Lord!
Music moves and inspires me, so I also ike to choose a theme song or two for the year. This year I couldn't pick just one, so it's "Captivate Us" by Watermark, and for fun, "I Like Me" by Kirk Franklin. Kirk's song is so hilarious, you gotta listen to a clip on itunes - the lyrics go, "I like me, do you like me? I like me, cause God likes me..." it's not for everybody, but it makes me smile.
Your turn - tell me your verse or your songs, or both!

Well, I'll have to take your challenge and think about it.
But I also have to say, that "Captivate Us" last week really moved me. Especially since you were moved...or hormonal, you tell me?
Your spiritual maturity and insights make me smile, cry, and swell up with joy. I am so proud of you and your walk with the Lord. Keep it up sweetie!!
Your Mom and I are so blessed to have you as our daughter.
Love you, Dad
Thanks, Dad. Big Hug coming at you right now!!
Rachel, yes, I was hormonal, but I think singing that song for the first time just really got to me. The words are so incredible...
In the second service, I decided not to sit on the stool b/c I thought I could "be stronger" if I stood. It seemed to work! :)
This might not be a "new" song, but it was new to me...."Hiding Place" by Selah...The words have just saturated my mind and whenever I'm afraid or concerned they comfort me!...still working on the scripture of choice though. Love reading your blog!!!!
YOU'RE so incredible.
