Deep Theology with a 5-year old

I love to hear Gregory's thoughts about heaven and God. The other day he said out of the blue, "When I get to heaven, I'm gonna ask Peter if I can hold his sword." He obviously thinks Peter is still carrying around the sword that he used to slice off a soldier's ear. Hmmm....
He has also reached a stage where he asks some pretty tough questions. For example,

"How old is God?"

"Why don't angels die?"

"When is God's birthday?"

And this was just one car ride home...Lord, help me.

Jeannie-

I'm lovin the answers (and questions) your kiddos are giving you about God. How awesome that their little minds want to know so much about Him. How incredible that their faith is so innocent, so real. Thanks for sharing...

Ash

PS-Looking forward to that big, fat envelope :)

This reminded me so much of Ryan at that age. Gregory is obviously very smart, analytical, and thoughtful. When I used to get frustrated from all the questions in the car, I would remind myself that I might be raising a Billy Graham or a future President. You never know!

wow, that's pretty deep for a 5yr old. Jaden is just at the stage where he asks "what is it?" all the time :P
