Today's Thoughts...

FAMILY: I really love my brother. Everytime I talk to him on the phone, I laugh. We love to talk to each other in strange voices, like a cowboy twang, or a hip-hop thang, or something else stupid. Sometimes I'll just play a snippet of a song to him on his cell phone, like a couple of weeks ago I left a message for him with "Ring of Fire" just playing. (He does a great Johnny Cash.) We "get" each other.

SPORTS: I like A.J. Hawk. He's the Ohio State Buckeye Green Bay just grabbed in the Draft. He's from Centerville, Ohio, where my aunt lives and they are familiar with his family. It's all about Defense, baby! Let's hope he and Favre can fire up the 2006 season. And I heard we got Charles Woodson, too. I don't know how much he will contribute, but I'm optimistic. O - H - I - O!!

LOVING GOD: This past week has been dry, dry, dry. I feel so far from Him and I miss Him. But I've been running into things that remind me that He sees me, He knows me, and His timing is perfect. He always provides me with just what I need. I just wish I ran to Him more when I know I need Him instead of, like a baby, grabbing the nearest pacifier and "getting by." (Does that make sense?) I miss Crossbridge. I miss worshiping with other people who love my Lord.

MY BLOG: Is it just me, or is it messed up? My large pictures of Jonathan and Lucy made my profile fall to the bottom of the screen and I really hate that. Could someone please help me before I create a completely new blog out of desperation? Besides that, I love blogging. It's fun. Wish I could update it every other day or even more. Wish I got as many comments as Holly G. :) Love ya, babe! You're so famous!!

MORE FAMILY: I am loving being with my sister-in-law more often. We live 5 minutes away from each other and see each other about every other day. I was foolishly worried this would be weird for our relationship, but it's only made it richer. She pushes me to exercise and eat right; I push her to journal and read and eat junk with me. ha. Even if she wasn't related to me, I would choose her as a friend and still love hanging out with her. And I love to make her laugh. You know those kind of people? They actually think you're witty and funny even when you're just plain weird. I love that in a person.

okay, and a question...kinda weird but...why is their a handicap symbol next to the word verification when entering a comment? That's really random...:)

here, now it will say you have at least 3 comments on your blog so you might catch up with Holly!

well, if by your profile you mean the paragraph that says stuff about you, it's on the top to the side when i read your blog.
as an only child, i have moments of jealousy when i think about having someone that knows everything about you, ya know? someone that gets where you're coming from. you don't have to explain things and you can just say a word and they know what you're referring to.
that's one of my favorite things about being married for...thirteen years in 12 days. :) being known. the other day, kevin and i were driving home from church and i...shoot. i forgot. this was gonna be a nice story, but i lost it. anyway, i said a word or made a noise or something and he like interpreted this whole thing about where i was coming from and it was really cool. it's not a nice story anymore, but maybe you still know what i mean.

Jeannie-
So glad to see a new blog. FYI- if you go to edit post and remove the pictures, put them back on in a smaller size (which you can do very easily) and maybe make the font smaller...your profile will come back. I know this, because i just went through this issue :) if you call, i can give you step by step technical support, well to the best of my ability.

Just doing my part to fulfill your desire for more comments.

Oh, and by the way, my blog spontaneously self-degenerates its format (pushing everything to the bottom), and I cannot fix it. I feel your pain.

That last sentence...they actually laugh at you and think you're funny when really you're just plain weird... Gosh, I feel like that a lot.

Some day you will understand why I cry when I read about how you love your brother. It is every parent's wish that their children will love each other and lean on each other. I agree with the comment that said they were jealous because they had no siblings to enjoy this with. Years from now (I hope), you will need each other more as we are gone and the times you have created this bond with be even more precious.

When your children are grown you will understand why I cry when I read that you love your brother. It is every parent's wish that their children love each other and lean on each other. I miss that too in my life. As you get older and your Dad and I are gone you will be so glad you have formed that bond with your brother.
