No Day is Ordinary...

This morning, I was reading to the older boys from their Beginner's Bible about Jesus walking on water, blessing and loving on children, and healing the sick. Daniel had Jesus on the brain and followed me in when I went to the bedroom to change Jonathan's diaper. Our conversation went something like this...

D: Jesus loves me!
me: Yes, He does!
D: Where is Jesus?
me: He lives in Heaven and He can live in your heart if you open it up to Him.
D: (brief pause) I want to open my heart, Mommy.
me: (hearing the Hallelujah chorus in my mind) Well, let's pray together!

We went into the living room where we held hands and he repeated the words I spoke. It was a really amazing moment. Even though he's only 3, I don't want to squelch any desire he has to welcome the Savior.

Enjoying a jar of squash... check out those new chompers...

After seeing my delight in Daniel's prayer, Gregory decided to follow suit. He asked Jesus into his heart when he was 3, but he didn't remember. Right now their hearts are so open and trusting - I pray they stay that way! (Greg looks like he's posing for a Brady Bunch opening shot here...)
